FAQ

Do I need to be strong to do aerial? No! And Yes! Doing aerial requires core strength, which you will build by taking class. Beginners are always welcome. Classes are taught with progressions so that with any given exercise, there are advanced and beginner versions. We are well adept at accommodating mixed levels, so jump on in! If you have specific medical concerns, speak to your doctor before trying aerial arts.

What do I wear? Leotards and tights or leggings and/or unitards are an excellent option. For those not comfortable in spandex, make sure your outfit is close fitting athletic wear. No loose, baggy clothes or jeans. No zippers or buttons that will get caught on the apparatus and NO JEWELRY. Long hair should be secured back and out of the face.

Do I need to sign a waiver? Yes. Please allow 5-10 minutes for paperwork before your first class or download SCAA Liability Release and bring it with you. All minors must have their form signed by a parent or legal guardian.

I am 14 ½. Should I take the kids’ class or adults? Kids classes are for kids ages 7 . . . . depends on the kid. This decision will be made between the instructor, student and parent. We have had some 14 year olds adapt beautifully to the adult class and others that needed to stay with the kids until they were 16.

Do I need to bring a water bottle? It’s a good idea, but we do have a water fountain on site.

Can I participate in performances? Yes! We host a number of opportunities for student performances throughout the year. Performances require additional classes (rehearsals) and an annual performance fee. Inquire with your instructor for more information.

Where are you located? We are located at 250 SE 10th Ave in a warehouse complex with Little River Marine and American Barbell.  Please enter the FAR RIGHT gate for circus school parking.

How do memberships work? You can either pay for classes individually (drop-in), in packages of 4 or 8 (with 30 day expiration), unlimited (all the classes you want for 30 days) or become a member. Memberships are offered at 4, 8 or unlimited class (within a 30 day period) options with the commitment to stay with us for 3 or 6 months. The higher the commitment, the more money you save on classes. For example, unlimited studio classes are $149/month with no membership or $129/month with a 6-month membership.

How do payments work? We accept cash, credit/debit cards and checks. We require members to set-up an online account through our “register and pay online” feature in order to process recurring payments. Credit Card payments for non-members incur a 2.5% convenience fee.
